Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• May need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS required, NIH preferred
• Tele competency required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Epic charting system
• 24 hours of orientation
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule requests can be made but not guaranteed
• Work with adult and geriatric patients
• Handle patient diagnoses including diabetes, hypertension, CAD, seizure, CVA, TIA, and chronic renal disease
• Must be aware of potential hurricane season emergency response team assignments from June through November

This acute care hospital operates as a 286-staffed bed facility with Level III Trauma designation. The facility utilizes Epic charting systems and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. The hospital maintains a medical surgical telemetry unit with 43 beds and serves a daily census of approximately 36 patients, focusing on quality patient care with modern equipment and comprehensive support services.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
