Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Float pool position rotating between approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU units and other Metro campuses as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5 across all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Minimum 8 weekend shifts required every 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• 1-2 years of nursing experience required with first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• Must have experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown
• Skills required include cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pre/post cardiac cath care
• Experience with sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke, and COVID patients
• Preferred skills include sheath removal, feeding tube care, accessing ports, blood product administration, and central line management
• Must be willing to float between Kansas and Missouri facilities (compact license required)
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Special equipment includes Virtual Nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell
• Epic charting system experience required
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Guaranteed minimum 3 shifts per 13-week contract
