Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 6:50 PM to 7:20 AM
• Every 3rd weekend required as needed
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 (can go up to 6 as needed)
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• NIHSS preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must have Maryland license or compact license at time of submission
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Assigned to SM3 (South Main Three) Cardiac Telemetry unit
• Required to float to NM4 (North Main Four) Neuro Telemetry and SM4 (South Main Four) Post Op/Observation as needed
• Care for adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses including atrial fibrillation, chest pain, MI, arrhythmias, heart failure, COPD, and diabetes
• Work with GE Cardiac Monitors and provide cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, IV management, PICC line care, phlebotomy, wound care, and managing cardiac drips
