Opportunity:

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Work evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Wednesday through Friday (18 hours per week)
• 6-week assignment with ASAP start date
• Over 1 year of sonography experience required
• Must be registered with ARDMS certification
• BLS certification required
• No call responsibilities during regular shifts
• Weekend call coverage available Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM (negotiable)
• Must be capable of performing general, vascular, and echocardiography procedures
• Experience with Meditech charting system required
• Experience with Philips equipment necessary
• Must be comfortable working with all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform approximately 3 visits per day in single scan room with one machine
• Handle outpatient, acute care, and emergency department patients
• Conduct exams including general, vascular, fetal, OB, breast, and echocardiography studies
• Work independently as single tech per shift
• All images sent to PACS for interpretation (no on-site radiologist)
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed

The facility has experienced significant growth with a 10% increase in ultrasound services and 161% increase in echocardiography over the past year, with monthly averages of 200 ultrasounds and 30 echoes. The hospital utilizes modern Philips Epic equipment with cardiac package and maintains strong relationships with over 25 referring providers from local family medicine clinics.
