Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule with holidays as needed
• Float required - subject to float between all Cone Health facilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio experience of 1:5-6 required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Telemetry experience required - remote monitoring experience required, on-unit monitoring preferred
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Skills required: feeding tube care and management, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs
• Experience with CVA patients, nasal cannula, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with multiple co-morbidities, specializing in stroke (neuro) patient population
• Daily census of 29 patients in 29 rooms
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Compliance deadline: 12 noon EST Wednesday prior to start date
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Local radius: 50 miles, no locals accepted
