Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend (EOW) schedule
• Maintain 1:5 patient ratio during days and 1:6 patient ratio during nights and weekends
• Float to Medical Surgical units as needed
• Provide strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response care
• Start IVs and manage Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips without titration responsibilities
• Administer blood products and provide central line care/management
• Perform peripheral line care and management
• Provide oxygen administration via nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Maintain isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams when necessary
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Alabama nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Experience required in MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown settings
• Charting system experience required (any system acceptable)
• First time travelers accepted
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed
