Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend with weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends (ratio of 6 listed in unit details)
• Float to Medical/Surgery units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Alabama nursing license
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience
• Required work settings experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Must be able to start IVs and follow Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips with no titration responsibilities
• Skills include telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams
• Blood product administration and central line care/management required
• Experience with peripheral line care, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Must follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
• Charting system experience required (any system acceptable)
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Local candidates considered within 60-mile radius
• Modules completed during orientation (average 8 hours, non-billable for RN)
