Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Schedule: 3x12 shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on IMC unit
• Float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed with ratios of 1:5/1:6
• Every other weekend required based on operational need
• No call responsibilities
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and general surgery
• Perform procedures including chest tube management, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, non-titratable drips, and IV infusions
• Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, central line care, and managing cardiac drips without titration
• Must have compact nursing license or Maryland license
• Two supervisor references required
• Must complete facility-specific modules within one week of contract signing

This healthcare facility operates a 15-bed Intermediate Care Unit providing specialized care for patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The unit is equipped with bedside monitoring capabilities for up to 8 patients, ultrasound IV equipment, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment to support patient care needs.
