RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work night shifts in the emergency department
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2-3 during shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, CPI, BLS, NIHSS, ENPC, ISTAT
• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Open to accommodating block schedules
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle general emergency complaints including chest pain, lacerations, trauma, stroke, psychiatric evaluations, abdominal emergencies, pediatric fever/URI/ear infections, orthopedic injuries, and respiratory emergencies
• Manage specialized procedures including central lines and arterial lines
• Work with Phillips monitors and Stryker beds
• Meditech charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Must have current license in hand with submittal

Facility:

This regional medical center operates a comprehensive emergency department with 22 rooms and 19 beds, serving a daily census of approximately 74 patients. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center and maintains certifications as both a STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility. The emergency department provides full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
