Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule includes weekdays and every other weekend
• Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (discuss with manager)
• Float to like units, ICU, and observation areas when required
• No call requirement
• Patient ratios: 3:1 for IMC patients, 4:1 for observation patients
• Care for variety of medical patients including respiratory issues, DKA, arrhythmias, post-operative kidney transplant patients, and interventional neurological patients
• Manage telemetry patients with medical and surgical needs as well as renal population
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (must be AHA), NIHSS, FIT test
• 2 years RN experience required with 1 year in-specialty experience
• Strong IMC and/or ICU experience required
• Must be skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and ventilator management
• WV or Compact RN license required
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White or combination
• Charting system: Cerner
• 16-hour orientation provided every other Thursday
• Open to accommodating block schedule requests
• 100-mile radius rule applies (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu vaccine required unless medical exemption provided

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility operates as a Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital, maintaining membership in the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). The facility features 855 total staffed beds and operates a 3S Intermediate Care Unit with 8 IMC beds and 10 observation beds that are staffed separately. The facility provides comprehensive medical services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams and maintains modern equipment for patient care.
