Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Interventional Radiology; Additional Notes from VMS= Angiography Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 day shifts Monday through Friday, typically 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• 40 hours per week guaranteed
• On-call rotation required including weekdays and weekends (approximately 8 days per month including 1 weekend per month with 30-minute response time)
• Every third weekend required (5-6 total weekends in contract)
• Floating required to sister facility 2 miles away for 1 week
• Average daily census: 7-10 patients
• 1 year of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Blue surgical scrubs issued by hospital
• Required licensure: ARRT, WV State License (may submit with pending but must be active prior to start)
• Required certifications: BLS (Vascular Intervention Certification preferred)
• Work in interventional vascular radiology suite performing peripheral angiography/venography with intervention, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, neuro-intervention including acute stroke, and embolization
• Equipment responsibilities include PACS, fluoroscopy (Siemens & Ultrasound preferred), maintaining equipment and inventory, stocking supplies
• Procedural responsibilities include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, prep access site, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, scrub and maintain sterile field, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Charting system: Cerner
• Orientations held every other Monday
• Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests within reason

This Level IV Trauma Center is a major teaching hospital and member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH). The facility operates as a short-term acute care hospital with 838 total staffed beds. The interventional radiology department features a 3-room suite equipped with advanced technology for comprehensive vascular and neurological interventional procedures.
