RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Some early shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (or until structural heart procedures are completed)
• One designated late shift per week to complete the last patient of the day
• Call requirement: 1 night per week
• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every other month
• Float as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Self-scheduling system
• 24 hours of unit orientation required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must be comfortable with fatigue policy: cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours per week
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Work with unit systems including Pyxis, MAC LAB, CUPID, EPIC, SBAR
• Required skills include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, procedural sedation administration, sheath removal/monitoring, and topical hemostasis
• Preferred skills include TAVR, Watchman procedures, angioplasty, carotid stenting, vascular interventions, and radiation safety
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Interview required before offer consideration

This regional medical center operates a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory providing both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The facility features 5 cardiac cath lab rooms with a daily census of approximately 30 procedures, serving adult and geriatric patient populations. The organization maintains advanced cardiac care capabilities including structural heart procedures, emergency cardiac interventions, and comprehensive cardiovascular services with 24/7 support.
