Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Guaranteed 36 or 48 hours per week with facility allowed to call off 6 times throughout 13-week assignment
• May float to VVMC Sedona ED (20 minute drive)
• 3 years of emergency room experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Travel experience required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Cerner charting system
• Patient ratios 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
• 36-hour orientation period
• Care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 70 patients with 24 rooms/beds
• Required certifications: Active Arizona RN license or valid compact license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Handle Level IV trauma, cath lab procedures, conscious sedation, and stroke cases
• Must be comfortable with pediatric patients (hard requirement)
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• No on-call requirements

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility operates as a teaching hospital with Level IV trauma designation and 87 staffed beds. The emergency department features 24 rooms and maintains a daily census of approximately 70 patients, serving a diverse population from pediatric to geriatric patients with a moderate behavioral health component. The facility utilizes Cerner charting systems and maintains high standards for quality and patient safety, including medication administration protocols. The emergency department is equipped with specialized equipment and provides comprehensive emergency services with interdisciplinary support.
