RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Must have minimum 1 year of experience with prior travel experience required
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 during days/nights and 1:6 on weekends on a 32-bed unit
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Call is rare with 2-hour response time when needed
• Must work holidays based on assignment length (1-2 holidays if they fall during assignment)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must have experience with cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips
• Care for adult to geriatric patients with overflow IMCU conditions
• Manage arrhythmias, cardioversion, cardiac CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions
• Handle post cardiac catheterization patients, TR bands, and DKA cases
• Work with Epic charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Skills include IV management, central line care, telemetry interpretation, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration
• Full compliance required to start on time with 36 hours of orientation
