Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required; will consider Med-Surg RN with ICU and PCU patient experience with additional two years
• Work every other weekend per contract, with consecutive weekends possible based on operational needs
• Float required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals - may float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided
• Staffing ratios: PCU assignments 1:4, Med-Surg assignments 1:5-6, mixed assignments 4-5 patients
• Charge nurse responsibilities may be required with provided training and resources
• Must agree to possibility of precepting and/or having students shadow during assignment
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Travel experience required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Call-ins must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
• Care for high acuity patients including COPD, CHF, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, lung transplant patients, tracheostomies, and stable trach-to-ventilator patients
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, arterial line management, cardiac drip titration, ventilated patient care, tracheostomy care, and central line management
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Indiana residents not accepted for this position
