RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• 13-26 week contract length
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7 (must be comfortable with these ratios)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding
• Must be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Navy scrubs required
• 12-hour unit orientation plus 16-hour organizational education
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of experience required in last 5 years
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS
• Epic documentation experience required
• Must be skilled in heparin drips, PCA, colostomy care, feeding tube care, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV starts, management of dysrhythmias, O2 protocol management, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, traumatic brain injury care, ortho trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, tracheostomy management, and wound care
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed with auto-approval
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually

The organization utilizes advanced systems including Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR protocols to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
