Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Every other weekend schedule required
• Float to Med/Surg units as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Alabama nursing license
• Required work settings experience: MS/Tele, Tele, and PCU/Stepdown
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Must be able to start IVs and follow Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Skills include telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team participation
• Blood product administration and central/peripheral line care experience required
• Non-invasive airway management and isolation precautions knowledge needed
• Charting system experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Local candidates considered within 60-mile radius
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Orientation modules average 8 hours and vary by specialty
