Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend coverage
• Option for 4x12 shift schedule
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for all shifts
• Care for adult and geriatric patient population
• 30-bed medical surgical unit treating regular medical surgical patients
• Required skills: IV starts, isolation precautions/PPE, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, heparin, insulin, PCA, surgical drains, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care
• Alabama nursing license required
• Required certifications: Current BLS via AHA and Fit Test
• NIHSS certification preferred
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy
• Must adhere to call-in policy
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
