Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with option for 4x12 schedule
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities when needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for all shifts
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 30-bed medical surgical unit
• 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy
• Must adhere to strict call-in policy
• Required skills: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA management, surgical drains, oxygen administration, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management
• Alabama nursing license required
• Required certifications: Current BLS via AHA, fit test
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
