Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Medical Surgical/Remote Telemetry unit caring for adult to geriatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 33-bed unit with average daily census of 28
• May perform Relief Charge RN duties as needed
• Minimum 1 year experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required, plus Pyxis and SBAR
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Every other weekend schedule unless specified elsewhere
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Holiday work required based on number of major holidays during assignment period
• Maximum 7 days RTO with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Care for patients with diagnoses including diabetes, medical/surgical conditions, post-operative patients, wound vacs, and bariatrics
• Work with special equipment including Diligent lift equipment, spectra link phones, Rovers, and space labs in every room
• Skills required include MS/Tele monitoring, IV insulin protocols, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, hemodialysis management, blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, chest tubes, and various airway management techniques
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
