Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 30-bed unit caring for regular medical surgical patients
• Required skills: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, blood product administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, heparin administration, insulin management, PCA, surgical drains, nasal cannula, oxygen administration
• Alabama nursing license required
• Current BLS via AHA and fit test required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Charting system experience required
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Must adhere to call-in policy
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
