Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend with variable scheduling
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends (6 patients per nurse according to unit details)
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Alabama nursing license
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience
• Required work settings experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Must be able to start IVs and follow Heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Skills include telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response/code team participation
• Blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care
• Oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE
• Charting system experience required (any system acceptable)
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Orientation includes facility modules that vary by specialty
