RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in medical surgical telemetry unit caring for post cardiac catheterization patients
• Patient ratio of 6:1 during days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with agency first pull for floating
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on 24-bed unit with daily census of 24
• Manage patients with chest pain, CAD, diabetes, PVD, COPD exacerbations, COVID+, TIA, stroke, hypertension, arrhythmias
• Handle cardiac drips for rhythm management (not titrated for blood pressure)
• Provide pre and post angiogram/angioplasty care (no sheath pulls)
• Assist with PPM/AICD procedures, LINQ recorder implants, and general surgical procedures
• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment, chest tubes, and wound vacs
• Required certifications: BLS, 2 years acute care experience, telemetry experience
• Must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIH
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Louisiana license or compact license required upon submittal
• May be assigned to "Emergency Team" during weather events with expectation to stay at facility
