Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Available shift options: 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8 and 10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts
• Patient ratios: 1:5 for MS/PCU float assignments
• Weekend coverage required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• 1.5 years of experience required
• Indiana state license required and must be in hand prior to start date
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Self-scheduling system
• Scrub color: Red top, Black pants
• Charting system: Cerner experience required
• Free parking provided
• Must be comfortable with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with rapid response teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with various medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services

This short-term acute care hospital provides comprehensive medical services with a focus on medical-surgical and progressive care unit patients. The facility features modern equipment and utilizes advanced charting systems to support quality patient care. The hospital maintains an 18-bed unit with a daily census of approximately 9 patients and offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
