RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per every 6-week schedule
• Work on a 41-bed progressive care trauma/telemetry unit for adult patients
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4, flexing up to 1:5 as needed
• Care for hemodynamically stable patients with traumatic injuries from gunshot wounds, penetrating injuries, assaults, motor vehicle crashes, and falls
• Unit equipped with telemetry monitoring for up to 14 patients
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and TELE
• Medication test required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2+ years for first-time travelers
• Epic EMR experience required (minimum 1 year)
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, chest tube management, wound care, and isolation precautions
• May be required to float to other qualified units as needed
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours
• Orientation occurs every Monday
