RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with rotating weekends
• No call required
• Floating required to other units
• Hybrid PCU/MedSurg department with 1:5 PCU ratio and 1:7 MS ratio when floated
• Care for adult patients in a 19-bed unit with daily census of 17
• Must be proficient in both PCU and MedSurg nursing
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: AHA BLS (AHA ACLS and NIH preferred)
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Must live 100+ miles from facility
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation beginning on Sundays
• Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Required skills include MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, post-cardiac procedures, neurological care, orthopedic trauma, chest tubes, ABG interpretation, airway management, blood product administration, IV management, wound care, and isolation precautions
• Preferred experience in pre/post thoracic surgery and oral suctioning
