RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• On-call every 5th weekend with average 5 days per month call requirement
• 1:1 patient ratio working with adults and geriatrics
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• Must have interventional radiology experience
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• West Virginia or compact nursing license required (pending license acceptable)
• Perform specialized procedures including angiograms, fistulogram, permacath, EVAR, TCAR, TAVR, MitraClip, mechanical thrombectomy, and embolization
• Work with patients diagnosed with CKD, CAD, PAD, PVD, stenosis, AAA, stroke, and aneurysm
• May float to CAMC General Lab CDL
• Orientation occurs every other Thursday with first 2 days in classroom setting
• Royal blue/white scrubs required
• Charting system: Cerner
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only during flu season October 1st - March 31st)
• Must live greater than 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)

This major teaching hospital serves as a Level IV Trauma Center with 838 staffed beds, providing comprehensive acute care services. The facility is a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH) and offers advanced interventional radiology services with state-of-the-art equipment and interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The interventional radiology department features 4 rooms with 12 beds and maintains a daily census of approximately 8 patients.
