RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• 40 hours per week can be offered
• 13-week contract assignments accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required - unit will NOT accept first-time travelers
• Must be comfortable with circulating duties and robotics training preferred
• Required certifications: BCLS
• Call requirement expectation of 1 time per week from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• May include weekend call if weekend staff is off
• Holiday rotation required and must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• May float to other surgical services areas
• Work with women ages 12 and up for gynecological procedures
• Procedures include hysterectomies, laparoscopies, hysteroscopies, D&C, robotic procedures, bladder slings, and therapeutic abortions
• Experience with special equipment: Da Vinci, Novasure, Myosure
• Use unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
• Scrubs provided
• 16 hours of orientation
• Daily census of 5-12 patients with 5 visits per day in 3 rooms
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
• Must complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
