Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week with three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Maintain 1:6 patient ratio consistently across all shifts
• Every other weekend coverage required based on operational needs
• Float to Telemetry and Medical/Surgical units as needed (these units have 1:5/1:6 ratios)
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• First-time travelers accepted
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and general surgery
• Manage chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, non-titratable drips, and IV infusions
• Work with specialized equipment including bedside monitoring for up to 8 patients, ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment
• Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, central line management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• No call required
• Previous charge experience preferred

This healthcare facility operates a 15-bed Intermediate Care Unit providing specialized care for patients requiring closer monitoring than general medical floors but less intensive than critical care. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various diagnostic services. The unit maintains modern equipment and focuses on quality patient outcomes with strong support systems in place for nursing staff.
