Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hours per week on a medical-surgical unit
• Patient ratios of 5:1 during days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• One call shift required per 6-week schedule
• 40 hours of orientation required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 10-13 patients
• Handle post-op, orthopedic, diabetes, pneumonia, wound care, CBI, and urology cases
• No telemetry monitoring or cardiovascular drips on this unit
• 2 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills include pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, ABG interpretation, bowel obstruction management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, IV management, medication administration, wound care, chest tube management, respiratory support, and isolation precautions
• Allscripts charting system experience preferred
• Must complete mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Must be at least 150 miles from facility
• Must complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Hard document deadline: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date
