Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit with float to Med/Surg units
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Alabama nursing license required
• Must have experience in MS/Tele, Tele, and PCU/Stepdown settings
• Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Must be able to start IVs, follow Heparin protocols, and manage cardiac drips (no titration)
• Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Blood product administration and central line care/management
• Peripheral line care/management and oxygen administration
• Non-invasive airway management and isolation precautions/PPE
• Charting system experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed
• Requested time off must be included at confirmation with 7-day maximum
• Orientation includes specialty-specific modules (average 8 hours)
