RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, or 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts
• Circulating position only - scrubbing NOT required
• 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted if they have Level I Trauma experience
• Travel experience required
• BLS certification required
• Must have Indiana, compact, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start
• Approximately 100 call hours per 6 weeks with 1 call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning)
• Float required to other OR specialties
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Handle complex procedures including heart & lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during day shifts
• Use Cerner charting system (preferred experience)
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Charge pay available with $3.00 hourly premium

This short-term acute care hospital is a major medical center with multiple units totaling over 700 staffed beds and serves as a Level I trauma center. The facility specializes in complex cardiovascular and transplant procedures, providing advanced care including ECMO support and high-acuity surgical interventions. The hospital maintains a daily census of 70-80 patients and offers free parking for staff, along with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services.
