RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Neuro ICU with 2:1 patient ratios on days, nights, and weekends
• Required to work 3-4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Float as needed per census to other ICUs (maintain 2:1 ratio) or telemetry units (3:1 ratio)
• Strong neuro experience required with neuro ICU experience documented in work history
• Previous travel experience required
• 2 years of experience minimum with 1.5+ years of recent experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have Kentucky nursing license or compact state license
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for adult patients with neurological conditions including strokes, craniotomies, seizures, and post-cardiac arrest patients
• Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and IV drips
• Experience required with airway management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, continuous IV sedation, and vasopressor titration
• Must be comfortable with specialized neuro equipment including EVDs, lumbar drains, CRRT, and Arctic Sun
• Handle pre and post interventional procedures including thrombectomies, stents, and TNK administration
• Daily census of 19 patients in 19-bed unit
• Interdisciplinary support includes PT, respiratory, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
