RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in progressive care unit focusing on cardiovascular diagnoses including congestive heart failure, post-myocardial infarction, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac arrhythmias
• Care for patients post-cath lab procedures, prior to LVAD placements or heart/lung transplants
• 1:4 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Must be flexible with weekend requirements - able to work 50% of weekends in contract
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Float required to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) within hospital or affiliate hospitals
• May be assigned charge nurse responsibilities with training and resources provided
• Must be willing to precept students as this is a teaching facility
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS preferred, NIHSS
• Required skills: Cardiac PCU, drips, post cath lab, IV starts, sheath pulls, cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Preferred skills: Conscious sedation and telemetry experience
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Call-in shifts must be made up during pay period or added to end of contract
• Refusal to float may result in contract termination
• First time travelers accepted
• Indiana residents not accepted for this position
