RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hour guaranteed shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 33-bed unit with average daily census of 28
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Medical surgical/remote telemetry unit with diagnoses including diabetes, med/surg, post op, wound vacs, and bariatrics
• Every other weekend requirement unless specified elsewhere
• Floating required within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Holiday work required based on number of major holidays during assignment period
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required, plus Pyxis and SBAR
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum 7 days RTO with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• 24 hours of orientation
• 1 year minimum experience required, first timers accepted
• Skills required include MS/Tele, IV insulin protocols, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, blood product administration, wound care/wound vac, and various other medical surgical competencies
• Full compliance required to start on time with 2-week push back if not compliant due to bi-weekly orientation schedule

This healthcare facility operates a 33-bed medical surgical unit with remote telemetry monitoring capabilities. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The unit is equipped with modern technology including Diligent lift equipment, spectra link phones, rovers, and space labs in every room, along with dedicated support staff including charge nurses on each shift, unit secretaries, case managers, and patient experience representatives.
