RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Float to ER, IMCU, Telemetry/med surg as needed
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• Patient ratios vary in ICU based on acuity: 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1; IMCU ratio is 5:1
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI, and PALS
• North Carolina or compact state RN license required
• 2 years of experience required
• Charting system: Meditech
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius (no local candidates)
• Care for adult patients primarily, with occasional pediatric patients
• Handle ICU patient population including renal failure, shock, overdose, ETOH withdrawal, pulmonary edema, sepsis, acute renal failure, acute OB for stabilization, and post-surgical patients needing critical intervention
• Serve as house-wide code responder and part of Rapid Response Team
• Use SBAR communication method
• Work with interdisciplinary team including PT, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy

This healthcare facility features a 12-bed ICU staffed with a comprehensive team of RNs, PCTs, unit secretaries, and providers. The ICU maintains a daily census of 12 patients and provides critical care services for a wide range of medical conditions.
