RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 1:6 patient ratios
• 13-week contract with 36 or 48 hours per week options
• Required to work every other weekend
• 36-hour orientation required
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with 1 year direct Med/Surg experience required
• Must have at least 2 successful travel contracts (no first-time travelers accepted)
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS; ACLS preferred
• Skills required: IV starts, telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg neuro experience
• Floating required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units
• Care for stroke patients, neurosurgery patients, epilepsy, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas
• Work with PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems
• Navy scrubs required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or more than 60 hours per week
• Make-up shifts required if calling out
• 8-10 hours of non-billable modules must be completed pre-start

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a specialized neuroscience unit with a 55-bed capacity and maintains a daily census of approximately 50 patients. The facility features a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization focuses on caring for patients with various neurological conditions and maintains modern equipment and systems to support complex neurosurgical care.
