RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care in a 10-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit specializing in cardiovascular patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 with average daily census of 7 patients
• Care for adult to geriatric patient population
• Work with patients requiring LVADs, balloon pumps, Swan catheters, temporary pacemakers, femoral and venous sheaths, arterial lines, TR bands, and CRRT
• Titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and sedation for intubated patients
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with intensivist and care team at 10 AM Monday-Friday
• Care for patients post-AAA repairs requiring specific positioning protocols
• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Work holidays if they fall during assignment period according to facility policy
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Maximum 7 days RTO with Spring Break blackout dates (April 4th-12th)
• Use Epic charting system and Pyxis medication dispensing
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures, arterial line management, blood product administration, ventilator management, and central line care required
