Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 36/48 hour alternating schedule with 84 hours biweekly and 72 hour guarantee
• 48-hour orientation required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in 62-room emergency department with daily census of 190
• 3 years of experience preferred, with 2 years minimum if from high volume/trauma facility
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must be proficient in various emergency procedures including chest tube management, intubation, arterial line management, blood product administration, and trauma care
• Handle conditions ranging from minor injuries to complex trauma cases, psychiatric emergencies, and multi-system organ dysfunction
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Complete required modules during orientation (average 2-3 hours, recorded via Oracle)
• Must have Texas nursing license in-hand before start date
• Must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting offer
