RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts approximately 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (end time may vary by an hour)
• On-call required with weekend coverage
• Number of weekend shifts per contract varies
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• 7-bed unit with 1 room
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab service line
• Texas RN License or Compact State License required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
• Experience with MedHost and GE MacLab preferred
• Charting system experience required (Allscripts), Altera experience preferred
• Travel experience strongly preferred
• Must live more than 150 miles away from facility or live in a metropolitan area
• Skills required include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker/defibrillator procedures, vascular interventions, medication administration, and procedural monitoring
• Work with special equipment including MERGE HEMO, PHILIPS X-RAY, PHILIPS IVUS, and PENUMBRA
• Complete orientation modules averaging 6-8 hours (non-billable)
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing

This medical center operates a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory providing advanced cardiovascular interventional services. The facility specializes in treating patients with STEMI, ACS, NSTEMI, PAD, CAD, and arrhythmia management. The unit offers state-of-the-art cardiac procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, electrophysiology procedures, and advanced cardiac device implantations. The facility maintains modern equipment and provides interdisciplinary support through IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
