Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No call responsibilities
• Float to other units as needed
• Must be willing to work as Charge RN when required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Charge RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass mandatory EKG exam (Pass/Fail) with 2 attempts allowed
• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Float to any health system campus if needed
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric orthopedic and medical surgical patients
• Work with telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Manage patients with total joint replacements, fracture repairs, kyphoplasties, and various surgical procedures
• Use specialized equipment including CPMs, Buck's traction, neck and back braces

Facility:

This medical center features a 32-bed orthopedic unit that provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility offers advanced telemetry monitoring and includes an on-unit physical therapy gym that allows patients to receive rehabilitation without leaving the floor. The unit accommodates a diverse patient population including orthopedic, medical surgical, and emergency department patients with high acuity levels. The facility provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
