RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Observation Unit

Job Details:

• 26-week contract assignment (not negotiable)
• Work 3x12 hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours or 8/10 hour shifts with 40 guaranteed hours
• Position in 2 East Clinical Decision Unit/MS/Tele specialty
• Float to all 3 hospitals within 20 miles (Martin North, South, Tradition) as needed
• 18 months telemetry/acute care experience required; 2 years preferred
• PCU experience required with strong vasoactive drip experience mandatory
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Must be nicotine free - negative 10 panel + nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
• White scrubs required
• EPIC charting system experience
• Skills required: telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team usage, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management (no titration), oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE
• EKG and pharmacy test required during orientation with 2 attempts maximum
• Time-sensitive modules must be completed pre-start (average 6-15 hours, non-billable)
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted at same rate
• No pending certifications or licenses accepted

This is a 332-bed short-term acute care teaching facility that maintains Magnet recognition standards. The medical center operates as a smoke-free environment with strict compliance requirements and offers free parking in unrestricted spaces. The facility utilizes EPIC charting systems and provides comprehensive cardiovascular and critical care services with interdisciplinary support teams.
