RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 4x12 schedule with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 during days, nights, and weekends
• Float within skillset as needed
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Triage experience required (hard stop requirement)
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• 2 years of emergency department experience required
• Travel experience required (hard stop requirement)
• Must have worked in ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125/day) within past 8 months
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Manage daily census of approximately 130 patients with 130 visits per day
• Work in 40-room, 40-bed emergency department
• Requires expert prioritization and organizational skills to manage fast ER pace
• Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Must have Maryland license or compact license
• Two supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Previous charge experience preferred
