RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• 13-week assignment duration
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required with no exceptions
• Must be proficient in orthopedics (total joints), general surgery, and OB procedures
• Work as OR RN Circulator with 1:1 patient ratio
• Call required every 5th or 6th weekend and one day during the week
• Must care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 12 patients with 12 visits per day in 5 operating rooms
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Kansas nursing license required (in hand or compact accepted)
• Special procedures include orthopedics, GYN, podiatry, general surgery, endoscopy, labor and delivery c-sections
• Must be skilled in various surgical procedures including lobe resection, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, arthroscopy, total joint replacement, and cystoscopy
• Work with specialized equipment including Hana Table
• 8-hour orientation required
• Travel experience preferred
• One reference required for submission
• May float to different units as needed
• Complete approximately 1 hour of non-billable modules pre-start
