RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratios: 1:4-5
• BLS required; ACLS and NIH preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Care for all types of cardiac patients, pre & post cardiac intervention
• Monitor arterial/venous access sites and TR bands post cardiac intervention
• Manage pre-open heart surgery and pre & post pacemaker/ICD permanent insertion patients
• Handle CHF and stroke patients
• Administer IV drips including Cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, NTG, antiarrhythmics, platelet-aggregation inhibitors, and anticoagulants
• Experience with cardiac telemetry pack and IV pumps required (initiation and setup of IV drips)
• Work with Pyxis, Sorian clinicals, MAK, and glucometers
• Complete lab work within 72 hours of signing contract
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation and annually (4-6 hours average)
• Local candidates within 50 miles of facility not accepted
