RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour shifts with every other weekend coverage required
• Float to like units as needed with possible charge responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals policy
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Unit has 30 beds with regular medical surgical patients
• Skills required: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac management
• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, blood product administration
• PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA pumps
• Surgical drain management, oxygen administration, nasal cannula
• Required certifications: Alabama nursing license, current BLS via AHA, fit test
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Level II trauma experience and travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Must adhere to call-in policy and facility attendance requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Modules completed during orientation, vary by specialty
