RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekends and holidays required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 2+ years of ER experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if they have 2+ years ER experience
• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH
• Epic charting experience required
• May be required to float between downtown and northeast campuses due to census and staffing needs
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Royal blue scrubs required for ER
• Free parking with pass distributed at pickup
• Must be aware of hurricane season emergency response team assignments from June through November
• Average 110 visits per day in 23-room emergency department
• Care for patients of all ages including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle variety of cases including DKA, stroke, URI, kidney stones, and dislocations
• Perform special procedures including chest tubes, procedural sedation, intubation, and TPA/TNK administration
• Work with specialized equipment including vents and BiPAP

This acute care hospital features 75 staffed beds and operates as a comprehensive medical center providing emergency and specialty services to the community. The facility maintains STEMI and stroke certification, offering advanced cardiac and neurological care capabilities. The emergency department handles approximately 110 visits per day across 23 rooms, supported by interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services.
