RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Option for 4x12 schedule available
• Float to like units as needed
• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for adults and geriatrics population
• 30-minute lunch required with no skipped meals policy
• Must adhere to call-in policy
• Skills required: IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, MS/Tele, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, blood product administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, heparin administration, insulin administration, PCA management, surgical drains, nasal cannula, oxygen administration
• 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Alabama nursing license required
• Current BLS via AHA certification required
• Fit test required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Local candidates considered within 60-mile radius
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• One pre-approved time off period per contract
