RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 42-bed unit caring for adults to geriatrics patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6 across all shifts
• Care for mostly post-surgical patients including orthopedic, urology, colorectal, bariatric, neurology, and general surgery patients
• Required to work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Holiday requirement: work major holidays that fall during assignment period based on facility policy
• Must have 2 years of minimum experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must wear navy blue scrubs
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• RTO blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• 24 orientation hours required
• Skills include isolation precautions/PPE, med/surg care, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Full compliance required to start on time

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical-surgical unit with 42 beds providing post-operative care for diverse surgical specialties. The facility utilizes modern technology including Epic electronic health records, Pyxis medication systems, and SBAR communication protocols. Interdisciplinary support services include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries to ensure comprehensive patient care.
