RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule - 6 weekends (both Saturday/Sunday) in 13-week contract
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
• Float required if needed - all travelers subject to float between all campuses
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required - first time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• SICU experience preferred
• Care for Medical/Surgical Cardiac ICU patients including MI, CHF, cardiac surgeries, post cardiac cath, LVAD, Impella, IABP, Arctic Sun, renal failure CRRT, respiratory failure, sepsis
• Manage open heart surgical patients, AAA repair, vascular surgeries, ECMO patients
• Skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, multisystem organ failure, post cardiac surgery care, pulmonary artery line monitoring, ECMO, IABP, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, ventilator management
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Compliance deadline: 12 Noon EST Wednesday prior to start date

This major healthcare facility features a 26-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac conditions. The facility maintains a daily census of 21 patients and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized cardiac care services.
